go to a NASCAR Race

on a whim, a friend of mine agreed to go to martinsville back in march. i had always wanted to go, but never knew anyone else that was interested in going. never watched a race until then. it was sooooo much fun, even though it was snowing and sleeting on the way up, and we just about froze to death in the stands. ever since then, i have been hooked. haven’t missed a single race, and went to the richmond race in may, and am going to richmond again in september for my birthday! wish i could go to martinsville in october, but don’t have anyone who wants to go with me. soooo much fun though! love the smell, the roar of the engines, and the excitement of the crowd! definitely an experience :)

It was hot, loud, and FABULOUS people-watching!!!

i went to the federated autoparts nationwide race in lebanon, tn at the nashville superspeedway. before i was a fan, i used to see the races on t.v. and be like, “mmk, watching cars go in a circle for hours…?” and then i actually went to a race and it was so much fun! i think, even if you aren’t a big fan of nascar, you would enjoy it. the energy from the crowd is so contagious, you get really into the race! i think it’s VERY worth doing so, if you get a chance, go!

p.p.s. – the boyfriend and i are currently planning a trip to bristol. i’m soo excited!

Got credentials once, for qualifying.

It was rad. I’m not a huge NASCAR fan, but credentials rock-out.
By far the best experience I’ve had at a NASCAR track, other than doing a ride along at 170mph+.

actually talked to my mom and a friend about this. i know i really want to go. one day this goal will be accomplished and my mom and i told cameron if he wanted to go he could and gina maybe will go with me, she said if jr. is racing she will, haha. Which one of my friends wants to go with me? let me know what you think and who wants to go?!

Done. May 2004 Nascar Nextel All Star Race… What a rush to have the reverberation of the motors LOUD LOUD; I recommend the headset scanners! :)

I will be seeing the Busch Series and Nextel Cup races at Phoenix International Raceway on November 10 & 11!!!

The first time I went I saw two guys wearing headphones and I asked what they were listening to. The told me they could hear the spotter and crew talking with the driver . I went down to rent a set so I could hear but they had rented all of them. I bought a scanner and headphones for $450 ( I got the best) and never go to the races without them.

I’m Addicted! I’m so going twice a year to the NASCAR Race every February and September!

I went to the Coca-Cola 600 at Lowe’s Motor Speedway over Memorial Day Weekend. It was very hot and loud. If I ever go to another race, I want to be one of the people tailgating. That is definitely more fun than watching the race.
