Right now my piano is in storage and collecting a lot of dust. I want to play an instrument so bad, but when I start I can’t do it. I am now determined to start playing my piano!

I used to play alot of music. I composed and made two CD’s and I played in churches and social events. When I went to college I found myself bogged down with so much work that my piano seemed dead in the corner of my room. My ability to compose has fallen dramatically. I have lost my motivation and my ability to just sit down and play. I hate that time controls my life and most of that time is dedicated to college. I really want to start getting into playing the piano alot.
I bought wirless headphones for my piano. So now it’s just motivating myself to do it more.
I haven’t played in 3-4 weeks. And I’m pretty sure it’s not going to happen very much during final exams.
Hopefully if I get wireless headphone for Xmas, I’ll be more inclined to play, b/c no one will have to hear me.
I played for about 30min before my left arm started to hurt. Not too bad, it was a good stress reliever.
I’m excited that someone else here has this goal. I thought I’d be the only one.
I don’t play much anymore because of four young ones at home: twins, 7; son 5; and baby 2. When ever the piano is uncovered(no electronics here!), my baby daughter has to play it. she’s even climbed up there and uncluttered herself so she can play. Maybe a budding prodigy!
I used to play all the time before kids, but now it just seems to hard to get the time. And it’s hard to concentrate when you’re sharing the keyboard with eight other little hands!
I played for about 20min. That’s all my arms are going to give me right now, but it’s better than not being able to play!!
I played for about 20min. My roommated thought I sounded amazing, however I know that after 4 months of not playing, I sound like garbage. But it’s going to get better.
I am going to by wireless headphones, so only I can hear and others do not had to be subjected to my painful practice. :)
this summer was a bust for playing the piano. Time just slipped away on me. Hopefully after I move this weekend and all that fun stuff, I can get settled and really focus on this goal.
Just bought the sheet music for Hockey Night in Canada. I’m very excited to start learning it!!
