I forgot about this goal as I’ve just cut 7 inches off my hair….. oh well it will grow again and I’ll try and braid it again, oh well….ooops
ladyemero is just happy inside
My work colleague Caroline is going to show me how to do this tomorrow woohoo, as I’m all fingers and thumbs at the moment
I’ll put up a piccie when I’ve been done
Every time I’ve tried to do this in the past, I’ve screwed it up horribly. XD I think I need an online tutorial (with pictures) to figure it out… heh heh…
Okay, I can sort of braid my hair. i really don’t expect it to get much better because I realized I’m not a huge fan of having it braided! It sort of looks gross if you don’t do it perfectly.
I’ll stick with ponytails for now, but this is still worth learning!
I managed OK. My hair is halfway down my shoulderblades, now, and I can french braid it and french-rope-braid it (this is something i made up – two stranded braid, going down my head like a french, in a similar weave, but it resembles a rope). French looks ok, and its nice to sleep in. My hair is too thick to do a plain 3-strand braid down the back, yet – it looks stubby. The rope looks very interesting but it tends to be puffy and I despise my bangs to be held back loosely. Today it completely fell apart while playing frisbee.
My hair is too coarse to braid well, to be honest. It does better in buns, or down in waves, which have grown more and more outrageous since I’ve been growing it out. I’ve had short hair for so long that I’ve forgotton what thats like.
I’ve found an article about braiding on eHow.com that is very helpful! (scroll down for info on braiding your own hair)
Really, I just need to practice, practice, practice…
