atinygoat is looking forward to making and then eating Thanksgiving dinner.
but I want to come back as an adult. I have no immediate plans to visit the Pacific NW, but I know I will be back some day. I am sure that with a little suggestion, as far as my husband goes, I can speed this up a little. I will know more in January and then again in May when we hear back as to whether or not our Fulbrights are good to go.

smallsmile can't believe how fast time is passing.
it seems like a really cool and crafty city! I think I might eventually like to live there, but naturally I should visit first!

So come on out. I recommend reading Fugitives and Refugees by Chuck Palahnuik as it is full of many good gems, tips and trivia on the Rose City. I live in Seattle and go there often. DO IT!

I live in Portland, and visit here all the time. Willing to hostel should you need that kind of life assistance? A small place, but it’s a place.

I think perhaps I would like to live there someday but I won’t know until I’ve at least seen it, right?

Portland is a great city in a great area. I generally liked the vibe of Portland and of the Northwest in general. Of course, out of 9 days there it only rained on 2 of them, so I know I wasn’t seeing what real Northwest life is about.

i visited there over a year ago to see a dear friend of mine! it was a fabulous city and probably the only other city i’ve visited that i think i could LIVE in. the picture is of e, my friend, being delighted by the surprise snow (she is a born and bred californian, whereas i, as a minnesotan, was far less excited about the snow. haha!~)
