poulalala is sad abot the semestral break. :(
it was my idea to learn.
i have no tutor, and i still teach myself alone.
I started playing by ear 3 years ago because i told myself i wanted to :)
Now, i get to play, once a month.
College, studies, the student council. Too much to do. Too little time.
But I must! Because I want to!

I picked up the Brown Scale Book from a music centre here in PA. I went through all the scales, chords, and arpeggios and I can’t believe how rusty I have become. Took out the old Royal Conservatory 7/8 books and surprisingly I still remember a lot of the songs, which is a good thing because that means I still possess the talent for reading music. Which no one should knock because it’s very tricky….
So my goal is to eventually write all my tests and become a certified piano teacher. I imagine this will take a few years because I don’t have a whole lot of time to devote to playing, but I’ll be spending more time at mom and dad’s because that’s where the piano is. Kind of a double-edged sword because the piano is out of tune, but I’ll get to visit more often. I guess I should take into consideration that my dad is STILL easily irritated by the piano. Oh well…for all intents and purposes, the nut definitely did not fall far from the tree.

I know I’m musically talented. I also know I’m one of the laziest people I know. I love music.. in general. I’m 19 and love classical music as well, which my friends always make fun of me about.. I can’t help it. I played the viola for 8 years and when senior year in high school came around I quit. What a shame because I loved it. Not the practicing, not me playing persay but when we would preform in our huge orchestra, I knew I was part of something amazing. I can never truley explain that feeling. I miss it. And I know I’m not good enough to play in school anymore. Other that the viola, I also played the piano. I took lessons when I was little, was never able to read music, its all by ear, but I love being able to sit down and just play something stupid. I wish I would play more, practice more, and get better so I can sit down and play soemthing better, something that makes me even more happy. We’ll see if I actually do that…
