How I did it: I've been afraid of throwing a party ever since I threw one that was horrible when I was 12. For my birthdays I usually just invited a couple of friends. We would watch a movie, go out or have dinner in a restaurant. Those birthdays all were really nice but I still wanted to throw a real party once. Even more because I'm 21 now and I thought it was about time I beat this one. I threw a goodbye-party because I was leaving for Barcelon… Read how I did it…

I was drunk and thought we should head to out house, since the bartender said I had enough. People laughed at me. In retrospect I know why. Still want to entertain, though. Maybe a BBQ or something.
Well this has been taken over by someone else so I can’t really count it now. I still want to throw a party sometime in the future but it won’t be for my birthday this year.
Need to contact M to see if she’d like a joint birthday party and then make plans if she agrees. – Done
Now need to decide on the date and book a train ticket
I would love to throw a party and invite all my friends (and my wife’s friends as well). Taking pictures and videos would be a must.
my birthday is comming up so im planning a party at my house. my close friend has 4 15 inch subwoofers and a bunch of speakers for high notes so he’s going to set them all up in my living room which will be converted into a dance floor and im buying a bunch of black lights. ive never thrown an actual organized setup party before so i hope it goes well and hope my house isnt completely recked.
It was great motivation to throw a party when there was a purpose – to spend time with family and friends while making new ones to raise money to help survivors of domestic abuse or children recovering from trauma.
We did it! We invited people weeks in advance, cleaned, cooked and greeted and it wasn’t so complicated after all. I had a great time and about 30 people came. I made way too much food, which is just what I wanted. It felt GREAT!
Jessa is loving fall in Boston.
Cost = about $150.
Required = both parents and little brother were out of town.
Risk = I still have a huge bag of trash to get rid of before they come home.
Regrets? Not at all. One of the best nights and best parties of my LIFE.
Photo: clean up the morning (I mean AFTERNOON) after.
I have always been too embarrassed to invite anyone but my closest friends to a party. I didn’t want people to wonder “why did she invite me? we’re not friends…” But somehow I suddenly just got OVER it, and invited 70 people to my housewarming party!!
What’s more, I sent out the invite two weeks ahead so people actually can put it in their calendars!
This is a MIRACLE.
