list 200 things that make me happy

I’m about 2/3 done with my list! As I congregate this list, it gets a little challenging thinking about what really makes me happy. I’m noticing that the strangest things make me smile, but I guess that’s what makes me unique right? I’ll be posting a link or something to my LJ, so that when I post it people can read it (or not lol)

After going back and filtering through my list, I now have… around 80-something, I believe. It went down! D:

Making a list of 200 things that bring you joy is harder than it sounds… it takes a lot of insight! But in what I have now, I’ve learned a lot about myself in thinking about what really makes me happy.

Nearly 100 things that make me happy now :) ihave to go back and fix a couple because they overlap, however.

of the 200 things that happy me are written down in my journal. Oh, wait, I actually wrote down 23. Haha, I can’t count today! Trying to keep the variety wide- abstract, thoughts, actions, physical things. Characteristics, too. This is fun so far!

I’m sitting here listening to a French song… um anyways. 200 things, I think I could do that. But I think I’ll post it on my blog or something. Some of them are strange xD

7. CHAPSTICKS – i love it, nothing better then smooth lips.

8. GUMMY BEARS – the chewy gummy feel of those bears in mouth bring a smile to my face. they taste so good and one of my favorites.

9. PEEING – i think by far this is one of the best feelings in the world. especially when you’ve been holding it in for awhile because a porter potty is a no-no. that feeling of release is …. quite amazing :)!! (haha, i know its not a very nice image but its the truth - for me atleast)

10. MUSIC – it speaks my soul. without it, life would not be so colorful.

1. SUMMER. really, just the thought of it when it’s NOT summer. and also when it is summer but it’s not extremely hot and humid. :) No school, golfing, sunshine, swimming, late nights, fireworks, really those could all be different things, but they are going under this category, because when you live in the midwest, the cold can drive you crazy. But the thought of summer gives me a warm feeling.

2. GETTING OUT FROM SCHOOL AND WORK. You know, when you’ve been sitting in a class for an hour, bored out of your mind, constantly looking at the clock for the time when you can be free. And then when it’s that time, you’re like YES! :) Or when I’m at work, doing nothing but surfing the web and texting..and I’m thinking about 4:30 coming. And then it does..and I make that awesome walk to the parking lot and reach my car. Then I can finally drive home to my salvation.

3. FRIEND REQUESTS. On Facebook and Myspace, especially when it’s someone I’d been thinking about adding but haven’t bothered to add them! And, even more when right after you accept them, they write you a message or leave you a comment. It makes me feel loved!

4. ACING A TEST. Who doesn’t like to be rewarded for their time spent wasted on studying for that damn biology test? B’s are ok, C’s kinda suck, D’s and F’s I feel like I could’ve done way better. But getting an A on a test gives me some security, like, that’s one less thing i have to worry about. Because my hard work paid off. Motivation anyone?

6. PUPPIES are my new found happiness. just being around them brings a smile to my face or just seeing a picture of a pup, makes my heart squeeze. yay for puppies!

5. LIFE makes me happy. My life ain’t that great. I’m 21, on my own with no family in this big state and struggling with debt on my back…just to know that i’m alive and kicking makes me fucking happy to know that i have a chance to make myself better. to make my life better. its hard as hell but i don’t regret one millisecond of everything that happened previously. of course there are the bad and good days, we’re human but at the end of the day…to know that i still have a chance to better myself makes life that much better.
