Jonathan had a callback for K-mart yesterday. Tania took him as I had to attend my school’s graduation ceremony. He thinks it went well. Cross your fingers people!

I have decided to snail mail Jonathan & Hallie’s head shots and resumes for a few movies that I have personally found on line. Tonight I am mailing out to Varsity Pictures and Walt Disney Pictures for Jailhouse Rock and Live Planet and Sarah Halley Finn for Tron.

Jonathan is such an incredible actor at the young age of 141/2. The 1/2 as of today :) I can’t wait for his first job.

Today Jonathan auditioned for a Sprint commercial in Santa Monica. He was number 257! Earlier in the day, he had his bottom braces added to his teeth.

After the audition we went to Santa Monica Pier. Hallie and Jonathan played on the beach for a while, then we went to ride rides and play games. We got cold around 7PM and headed back to L.A. We had a great day.

Today Jonathan had a commercial audition for General Electric. The commercial is for a washing machine. The commercial is about a family BBQing and a large mound of dirty laundry comes crashing through their backyard.

Jonathan always enjoys auditioning. Hopefully he will be the right kid for the part. :)

Jonathan was accepted to Hollywood High School. He will begin as a Freshman in September!!

I applied for Jonathan to attend Hollywood High School Magnet for Performing Arts 2008-2009, his Freshman year. I really hope that things work out with HHS.

Today, January 12, 2008, Jonathan had an audition for KFC. He had to pretend to eat chicken.

I had Saturday school today, I was so tired. I came home and took a nap. When I woke up it was 3:48PM. His audition was at 4:30. I freaked out! Luckily, we were able to find the casting agency and get there with 10 minutes to spare. Thank GOD for Garmin GPS systems. I would literally be lost without it!!

Jonathan had an audition on Thursday, January 10, 2008 for Paul’s Scooters.

I had night class too, but I was not able to get him to his audition and to class. Kids are not allowed to go to class with their parents, so we just came home and I went to bed early. Now I have to write an extra paper for the class.

Los Angeles Update

We have moved to LA. Jonathan attended an acting camp at TVI studios the first week we were here. He was picked up by an agency. I have gotten both of them in school. Jonathan has to apply for a CA work permit. His counselor signed it, now I have to mail it in. It has been VERY VERY difficult for me here in LA..getting the kids in school and all the change with my career but I know this move was the best thing. I have to stay strong and remember why I am here.

Los Angeles Unified School District new flagship high school, with emphasis in the Visual and Performing Arts, is located across the Hollywood Freeway from the Cathedral Our Lady of Angels and in direct vicinity of Disney Concert Hall, the Museum of Contemporary Art, and Grand Avenue, currently under redevelopment by Gehry Partners.

The school campus will include four “academies” for education in music, dance, theater arts and visual arts, and a theater for 1,000 visitors which can be open to the public.
The theater lobby, a crystaline shape of glass and metal, that forms the public entrance to the theater, symbolically emphazises the openness of the school to the public and simultaneously serves as an exhibition space which can be linked to the visual arts studios and the event space on top of the tower.
The library is deliberately placed in the center of the school courtyard and rises as a truncated, asymmetrical cone with an oculus towards the sky. Through its central location and dynamic but centralized form this “Space of Knowledge” collects and enhances the energies which revolve in and around it.
The entrance for the day to day student use and the community is expressed through a grand staircase of urban scale and is oriented towards the community.

By breaking up the student body into four so-called “academies,” each specializing in one of the arts, a closer and more personal environment between teachers and students is created. Each academy occupies a distinct building which houses the art studios next to general classrooms, administration spaces and teachers workrooms.
