i hate going to the gym, but once i am there i am fine. I do weights, cardio and even dreaded crunches. I am also trying to eat right, but i love food and this has always been a problem for me. I also love drinking, but i am cutting down. So far i make sure that 2 out of my meals are healthy and I am drinking once a week and no more then three. I will weight myself every two weeks so i don’t panic. I want to go to the gym at least 6 times a week, but so far i am only going 3-4 days a week for an hour or two b/c of my schedule. I am going to try to work on that this week.

I’m 39 years old, 5’6”, female, 158 lbs. Want to know the last time I was 158 lbs? NEVER!!
! I quit smoking two years ago and I’ve been married four years. Good excuses? NOT!!! I won’t even wear shorts I’m so uncomfortable with myself. I have three gym memberships and a nutrition certification. How did this happen? My normal weight is around 140 lbs. I’ll diet for about a week and get frustrated. I’m starting again on Monday Sep 29 2008. Anybody want to do it together? My goal is 135 lbs by Christmas. E mail me. eatingclean@gmail dot com. Liz

So I’ve been gaining weight and finally this week it hit me. Since graduating from college, a little over a year ago, I’ve gain 15 pounds. i notice it in my legs and it doesn’t look good. So i need to get myself into gear and back into some form of shape. I don’t know my exact weight but i imagine i am around 190. I joined a gym this summer but i need to get serious about working out five days a week, stop drinking so much and eating so much carbs. I am aiming for 5-8 pounds a month. So 6-7 months to loose the weight i think is a reasonable time frame. Wish me luck.

I would like to do it the healthy way, diet and exercise.
It is difficult to lose weight when one is a vegetarian because all one can eat is carbs.
Not to mention I LOVE breads and soups.
Also, I would like to lose ten or fifteen pounds by the time school starts which is around August 13th.
It’s not that I don’t exercise or that I don’t eat the right things really (I adore salad and veggies and fruits.!), it’s that I snack and I overeat.
Advice would be great guys. :]
