beloved dance jam

my very favorite local dance jam venue moved and i haven’t really recovered. it was the ideal space – i could be anonymous and free and inventive. every single visit there was a moment of epiphany, large or small.
the new spot they’re using is too small and cramps the spirit. there are other spaces but they’re too far to be practical. Universe, please show me a new space to move with joy.

All it took was going to a couple of amazing shows and dancing my heart out (Eric Lindell at One Eyed Jacks and Modest Mouse at the House of Blues in New Orleans). I’d forgotten that dancing only thrives when living in the moment (much like love, that).
Rather than counting on the right place/time/music, I’ve decided to find a way to make this particular joy accessible wherever I am.
