See The Tonight Show in person

Wow, so much to enjoy: Jay Leno, Mimi Smith & Kevin Eubanks & the band…. But the most enormous highlight was seeing B.B. King play live up close & personal!

So glad CCC came to town and made it happen. It tapes about a mile from my office.

I think we waited in line about as long as we actually saw the show, but that’s okay. It really moves. Norm MacDonald, Nastia Liukin and B.B. King were the guests. B.B. handed Nasita Liukin the guitar pick he played with that night. I hope she realizes how cool that was! (She’s awfully young!)

It was a great way for CCC and I to get to know each other in person, too!

Although rumors that you shouldn’t bring anything personal with you at ALL were greatly exaggerated (by NBC), people were actually carrying purses and someone had a cell phone that didn’t get confiscated as threatened in the materials.

A 43Ter is in town and as part of our meet-up we’re going to a taping of The Tonight Show. We should have fun talking in line.

With Johnny Carson and Richard Pryor as a guest. It was a fantastic experience and worth waiting in a long line for. I’ll never forget it!
