When I was 16, I visited my aunt, who took me to Niagara Falls and paid for the helicopter.

How I did it: This was kind of squashed into our trip because we wanted to see it. We were in Los Angeles and took a red eye flight from there is US Airlines! The flight was a nightmare!! We flew from LA - Las Vegas, Las Vegas - Charlotte, Charlotte - Buffalo. We were then picked up by a friend and driven to Niagaraa Falls. I didn't realise that Buffalo was actually quite far away.Niagara Falls was amazing! By faaaar the best part of the trip! me being… Read how I did it…

How I did it: I happened to be in Niagara on the the Lake for a conference and I was flying out of Buffalo on my way home. I decided to drive down the Canadian side of the river and go to the falls since I had never been there. It was fabulous. Winter, really cold, not a lot of crowds and clear blue day. Absolutely breathtaking! I traveld non stop for 2 years and of all the places I have been this was one of the most amazing things I have experienced. It was actually on Valentine’s day and although I was alone it was something I really enjoyed. Someday I would love to do this again!
went with my boyfriend. IF YOU GO STAY ON CANADIAN SIDE. So muich better
The falls are SO beautiful, especially from the Canadian side. Also, take the boat rides and tours down by the water if you can afford it. Very, very cool!
the falls are expecially beautiful from the Canadian side.

I grew up not too far from NF and so whenever we had guests from out of town we’d go up, and also just for family occasions (my fourth birthday, for one.) When I was in college I used to drive up there at night whenever I felt overwhelmed by life. It kind of put everything in perspective.
I live about 10-15 minutes away from the Falls, and when there’s nothing to do, my family loves to go to see them. They really are fantastic. Try to see them if you ever get a chance.
(oh, and a fun fact: when my dad was younger, they actually stopped the flow of the falls to work on something, and people were allowed in the gorge or whatever. My dad said it was amazing!)
Niagara Falls is so beautiful. In the summer you can ride the Maid of the Mist and do the Cave of the Winds. In the winter you can see the ice bridges that form and they always have colored lights on the falls at night. So pretty! I live about 45 minutes away. I wish I could go every day!
katie_marie getting my life in order
Last week my housemate and I did a day trip to Niagara Falls. Most people were fairly surprised that I had never been since I live in Ontario but I guess I just saved it for a time I could fully appreciate it. It was beautiful although I really just wanted to get a whole lot closer than they would let me. The river was covered in thick ice, I’m pretty sure I could have gotten down there and had a great view of the falls. Sigh. I suppose I now need to see it it in the summer when the view is obscured by all the mist (or maybe it always is?) and ice.
it was amazing! we walked in under the falls, the sound and the power of it is unbelievable! got soaked and got a sexy plastic poncho! Go!
