The fact that I’m earning my own money for the first time is satisfying. It’s pretty shit pay though.

I will have three or four things going on this summer:
1. Party Favors (I’m the balloon girl)
2. Summer Class
3. Internship at the IMPROPER BOSTONIAN!!!!!!
4. Random babysitting
hopefully I will make the rent, and the grades
In order to stay in Boston and NOT GO HOME and GO CRAZY, I need a job, that makes enough money to pay my rent while I’m here, that’s over 1,000$ a month, hmmmmmm, is that even possible?
Possibly working at a Country Club with the tennis shop-maybe feeding balls to little squirts all summer and babysitting them by the pool while we wait for their moms to come-definitely a nice possibility, but the people who also might work there are less than my favorite people, hmmm
North Carolina fell through—I’m staying home for the summer
I’ve decided that the job in North Carolina is not going to work—I need to be around my family this summer…hmmm time to find apps in my town….
Next semester I am moving into an off-campus apartment in Boston. It is going to be so expensive. I want to make atleast $1000 dollars this summer for the next school year in Boston so that having an apartment will be a nice change, not a stressful one. I also don’t want to be “the stingy roommate” in my threesome of roommates, I hate that label. I don’t want to restrict their happiness at all in that apartment because of my financial situation.
Finding a Job
*Week 1:
- I called my mother and reminded her to pick up any applications that she can find around town and to mail them to me
- My friend found me a job in NC, but I’m not sure whether to take it or not, because it means spending the summer away from home like I’ve done all year-it would be fun, and a definite job, but I’m just not sure-I also need to check with my internship and make sure that she would be ok with me being away for most of the week, hmmm
i’ve found a job in a restaurant, bottom line is, don’t work in restaurant, at least not at washing the dish, it really is hard, and suck! find something better, but eh, money is money!
I have three ideas that could actually happen:
1. Work at Gold’s Gym
2. Work at a private golf course
3. Work at the hospital
Not too shabby. Better get one soon, though. Summer is almost here.
