Okay I know it’s not much, but I actually did write in my journal last night. It’s a relaxing ten minutes that helps you get your thoughts on paper instead of floating around in your head keeping you awake.
How to write in a journal every day
How I did it: I got a notebook that is small enough to travel with but also big enough to have as much room as i need. It has an elastic band attached to keep it shut which can be useful. Now for the writing... thing of the good and bad things that have happened today... where did you go? .. who did you meet? Say how these people and places made you feel. Be detailed so you can read these years from now and have one of those "Oh yeah!" moments. I have found writing things down have helped me think about what i am doing and what i want to do with my life. I have tried starting a journal many times before but i never really got into it. I think this is because i was too young to know how to write what i really felt and i didn't know how to write what i was thinking.
Lessons & tips:
- Get a journal that fits you needs. If you travel, get a compact size. If you write big or love the details, get one with extra lines and pages.
- Be honest. Lying to yourself will do no good. Write you honest opinions and feelings.
Resources: Journal and a pen. Pens are good because they don't fade and cant be erased easily.

Entries
I started this about a week ago and the first few days I was very faithful and then I kept forgetting and skipped some days. I wrote in it again last night and am gonna try tonight if I can get around pretty early to go to bed because I have to wake up at 5:30 in the morning for Cross Country practice.
Well last night I popped in a movie and fell asleep instead of writing in my journal. I really need to start doing this.
