This is the first step I must take to become a Commercial Pilot. I went for a discovery flight in early 2009 and absolutely loved it.
I’m just saving up right now to pay for lessons, and I’m so eager to get back in the pilots seat.
Every time a plane fly’s overhead, I look up and am overwhelmed with a feeling of wanting to be up there… at that moment.

It is now 2009! I have been wanting to get my license for 5 years now. I guess it is about time to take up ground school. This year is going to be a good year! I am blessed to live in such a beautiful state, ALASKA! A state with a lot of untouched land…. land that I one day will see and discover for myself in my citabria! Wake up each morning and tell yourself that “today is going to be a good day!” it was always a friendly reminder from my friend andi… a reminder that saved me each day!

I’ve already started working on my private license and stopped due to the cost. I’d like to finish it and also get my IFR / Fixed Rotor certificate.

I flew for the first time last summer and absolutely fell in love. Now I’m gearing up to go skydiving later this summer, and I’ve been dreaming of getting my own private pilot’s license so I could fly whenever I please. I’m flying for the second time in three weeks and I cannot wait. It’s a short trip, but I do not care. Amazing how quickly we can fall in love with things. It’ll be a part of me for the rest of my life.

i’ve actually already gotten the ball rolling on this one…only, i’m at a standstill. i’ve completed about 11 hours at this point, but need to save up some more money before i can hit my nose to the grindstone again. it’s a blast of an experience, and i can’t wait ‘til i can post “i’ve done this”!

Intro Flight!
I took my intro flight on Easter of 2008 with a friend, we each got to fly for an hour.
It was amazing!! Instead of the doing the “tour flight” Our instructor took us the training area by the airport and gave us control. I want to have my PPL by the end of 2009.

I’ve been told that flying in dreams represents the unfettering of the physical body from eaqrthly constrictions, the freeing of the mind of percieved constraints. Well, I just like to feel myself sweeping through the air, in dreams or in life, and to that end I’ve decided to start accruing hours in a small plane. Eventually, I’ll have my PPL, and from there, who knows?
I’ve already got three hours; two and a half in a Piper Cub and one half-hour in a Schweitzer 300. If I had my druthers I’d get my helicopter PPL, but that’s so much more expensive. Additionally, there are no helicopter schools nearby, so I guess the fixed-wing thing is it.

...and I can finally say that I hold a Private Pilots License. I was a ‘weekend warrior’, and trained just about every saturday for a little over a year. It took me a year to get my GFPT, and about another year to get my PPL. It would have been a lot shorter for the navigation part of the training, but several ‘navs’ had to be canceled due to weather. It was a good experience, and I definetly recommend it to anybody. Learning to fly (for me) was great, however there was so much more to it then just the flying aspect. I learned so much about myelf, learned what high highs are, and what low lows are. It was quite a roller coaster ride. Sometimes very frusterating, and nerve racking. There is nothing like sitting next to an instructor, and constantly being told what you can improve on. — To this day, I still fly better by myself, or with somebody in the cockpit who doesn’t know how to fly. It is truly a great gift, a blessing, and a huge honor to fly. I love it, and will continue to do so for the rest of my life.

This is my living dream. But I’ve fly a dozen of times as a…co-pilot of course!
