I am tired of looking for good nannies.. they are hard to come by. Anyone know if any good nanny agencies around NY area?
raised to be polite, not to suffer bullshit Life is too short to make just one decision
the summer before my senior year of college, i wanted a job that mattered. with the help of a friend, i found a summertime live-in nanny gig. it was an exhausting (and occasionally nerve-wracking) responsibility but, even though i don’t really like kids that much, it definitely was one of the most rewarding jobs ever.
the four-year-old boy and his infant brother were two of the sweetest kids in the world (the baby hardly EVER cried, too, which was great). their parents gave me hope that maybe this current generation of parents isn’t totally screwed and that maybe there’s hope for family values. if i could work for a family like that again, i’d do it in a heartbeat. otherwise…. i think once was enough for me, and i’m more than happy to end my three-month-long nanny career on the best note possible.
I have beena nanny for almost 2 years to two little boys and now they are moving to atlanta.. I am heart broken because I love them.
My mom has doing babysitting at home for 26 years. I have been around children since I was 4 years old. I love being at my mom’s and helping her with all the kids. I help change diapers, put them down for a nap and take them outside to run around and play.
I also live in England and was an Au par for 2 months. I was a live in Au par. He was 10 years old. My duties were to get him up, fed and ready for school. I had to walk him to school and pick him up from school. I had to do light house work. After being there for 2 months he saw me as a sister. He was great.
I just got a job looking after 2-year-old identical twin girls. Hooray for findababysitter.com.au! [/shameless plug.]
I want to have started a nannying job by the end of August. There are only so many more customers I can serve (I currently work hospitality) before I go insane.
it’s a night mare, i have a nanny job offer for some people who are going to pay me 2,000 a month for watching ther one kid, in their big apartement when they get back from vacation on their cruise ship which the husband is the captain of. my parents are skeptical of letting me get this job though. how can they not let me?! if they live too far away i can’t get it, and if they are too suspicious, i can’t get it. how do i convince them that it’s ok?
