How to lose 70 lbs
How I did it: i learned to eat differently. i had wonderful support from my fiance. i looked at food differently. i changed what i ate and lost 40lbs in 5 months and encourporated exercise and lost another 30. support from friends was a huge one. i kept losing it and it kept me going. also knowing one day ill be skinny and thinner than my skinny sister made me want to do it... so a good motivation was help i guess thats what im trying to say. but we all know big women love to hate skinny ones and i want to be skinny. so that pushed me even more.

And even thought it was the ultimate humiliation to get back on that scale and know for certain that i’m back to where i was pre-WW, i did it. And that’s the first step.
skingbogus is working...
I ate good yesterday and after racquetball this morning, I weighed in at 251.0. I shed 1.8 Lbs! I made sure I kept my sugar consumption (and we deem sugar as anything with 15g or more of sugar) to 200 calories or less per day.

Ran for 15 minutes this morning and lifted weights. Weighed in at 252.8. So, I gained .4. Not bad through the holiday binging. Started a bet with lifting partner that if I eat more than 200 cals of sugar per day, then you have to run 15 minutes in the evening.
I hate running, so I’m not going to eat any freaking sugar.

I ate better today, but the big difference seemed to be running this morning. I rode the exercise bike for 20 minutes and burned about 200 cals, but that warmed me up for the 16 minute run. I noticed after the run I was super motivated vs. not so much after 2 hours of racquetball. It propelled me through the morning to read, get my kids up, make them breakfast, read to them, clean up the kitchen, etc. all before 8:00 AM.
Yesterday I tricked myself on the eating proving that there is some truth to the Caloric theory on losing weight. You don’t always have to eat the right kinds of food, what seems more important is limiting your portions. Again, probably not the case when you get skinnier, but for now, I’m enjoying breaking the rules.
1 Protein Shake, and that’s it 200 Cals
2 Wendy’s Singles 840 Cals
1 Small Wendy’s Frosty 330 Cals
Enchiladas (leftovers) 550 Cals
3 cookies 210 Cals
Milk 160 Cals
Total 2290 Cals
Lost 1 lb. Would’ve been more had I reached for something better before bedtime, but nevertheless, I turned a bad eating day into a weightloss day by stopping consumption.

I played racquetball for almost 2 hours Thursday morning, and because of my idiotic eating on Wednesday, I gained .4 lbs. Now isn’t the time to get frustrated, just focus and rebound tomorrow.
Here is Wednesday’s breakdown:
Protein Shake 220 Cals
My Egg Muff 375 Cals
Enchilada 375 Cals
Yogurt 150 Cals
Pears Cottage Cheese 140 Cals
2 Wendy’s Jr Bacon Cheese700 Cals
1 Hotdog 200 Cals
Cranberry Sweet Rolls 350 Cals
Milk 300 Cals
Assorted Other 200 Cals
Total 3010 Cals.
I probably would’ve still lost if the last thing I ate wasn’t a bunch of sugar garbage, so I picked up .4 lbs.

I lost another pound today, now down to 253. I played racquetball for 1 1/2 hours and ate the following:
1/2 Banana 40 Cals
my egg Muffin 410 Cals
Milk 12 oz 180 Cals
Enchilada 350 Cals
Yogurt 150 Cals
Pears Cottage Ch 185 Cals
Mt. Dew 180 Cals
Mt. Dew 180 Cals
Peanut M&M’s 253 Cals
Carrot sticks 40 Cals
Hotdog 200 Cals
Total 1968 Cals
Amazing! Even though I had 2 mtn. dews, and peanut m&ms and a hot dog, I still lost yesterday. It won’t always be this easy, but today it was. I also noticed that if I’m going to have sugar, I should have it in the early afternoon and give my body the opportunity to burn through the glucose spike.

I have been faithful about working out for the last 2 years, but i haven’t really made a dent in the fat. The problem is I am a far more efficient eater. I have to stay off the sugar to be successful.
This morning, I ran for about 15 minutes and lifted weights. I worked lower body, squats, calves, and hams.
Looking forward to tracking my progress every day including what I do and what I eat.
Last year i was 188 now i am 114 all i did was drink water and eat 1 apple ever week. I am determend to be 75 pounds so i will look like a twig , i am 5’6 so i will be really skinny. I think If i doo this one more year than ill reach 75
cincygal I'm doing paperwork.
Years ago I struggled with being overweight. I look at pictures of “when” and realize that it’s a goal that I’m glad I attained. I’m 5’6 1/2” tall, 129 lbs. I like being @ 126, but I’ll accept the fact that “at my age” (71) I’m lucky, very lucky to be on this planet.
Losing weight had to do with finding out that SUGAR was the culprit with me. Long story – short – cut out the sugar and unhealthy carbs. Just be sensible!
