I went to the supermarket and, in a big step for me, refused to buy anything unhealthy. This translated into fruits, vegetables, some lean cuisine for when I’m rushing, boca burgers, and various other items. My treats were dried pineapple and lemon sorbet. I was so proud of myself, mostly because I’d really been craving some white castle and instead took the healthy (and animal-friendly – none of my purchases had meat products in them) alternative.

I have a terrible, terrible relationship with food. It consists of my either shunning it completely and injesting something like 500 calories daily or instead deciding that we are star-crossed lovers and binging on everything unfortunate enough to cross my path. Though I’ve somehow managed to avoid becoming obese (it must be those hate-hate days), my triglycerides are quite high and I’m slowly but surely becoming rather jiggly. I don’t like jiggling.
So I’m trying to keep myself in the 1200-1500 cal/day range since that will hopefully speed my metabolism up. That plus exercise will hopefully get rid of some of this excess flab I’ve got going on, and then I’ll up myself to the general 2000 calorie range.
