become a manga-ka

lol to some people it might be a silly dream but to me it’s kind of personal because when i draw it’s like a way to vent out all my emotions besides crying or any other ways. It helps when i’m bored and i daydream a lot so i’m bound to come up with a story everyone might like…eventually. but i;m always astonished when i see all these stories and characters that just put you in a daze. i’ve always thought that one day i could make something that will make me truly be proud of myself and i think this might be one of those things. It will take a lot of time and practice but one day ill make a manga even if it’s not the best. Just as long as my ideas come across one way or another.I mean hey you gotta start somewhere :)

I have always been inspired to be a manga-ka around fourth grade. In fifth grade, I got totally interested in it and decided it would be my future job. Now I’m twelve and I’m making my own manga series.
I guess I’m okay for my age, but not so good. :D
I know I still have a long way to go, but I hope that everyone will give me advice!!!

It’s a pretty foolish dream, isn’t it? You see all these people so much better, with better ideas, better skills, more experience, and they’re all still trying to make some money each year at the Comiket. How many people actually become manga-ka? I guess it’s one of those things you just have to dive headfirst into with no regrets at all, right? Good luck to all of you other people, by the way! And I could throw in a quote from some pathetic ninja in an orange jumpsuit right about now, but I’ll resist that urge.

my mom had always told me not to waste my drawing skills because it had been a miracle. in otherwords, drawing is my in-born trait! according to her no one had ever taught me the very basics of drawing like how to hand a pencil, how to move the pencil to make something out of it, etc. i stopped drawing for some personal reasons when i was 9. my childhood drawings were all about wild animals and dinosaurs. never taught i could draw goku from DBZ or conan from DC or pikachu from Pokemon. yes i watch anime before but i’ve never been an avid follower of it. i was more into disney and stuff until i started to get totally interested in anime and manga (naruto never inspired me though) when i was around 14. i started to think of drawing manga-style characters like those trio in samurai champloo and full metal alchemist (these are the animes that inspired me). now i wanted to draw manga. i’m now 16 and in college and i am currently busy. i’ve always reminded myself to grab every free time into practice time but i’ve never motivated myself that all i’d do is to sit down, listen to music or surf random stuff in the internet and IT’S A TOTAL WASTE. i’ve tried to pin down myself into practicing how to sketch but i just get sidetracked. i’m quite flexible in copying other drawings though but when it comes to myself alone, without anything to copy, i just can’t draw something nice. i’m so stupid i’m always daydreaming about becoming a great, famous filipino manga artist in japan and all over the world and had my mangas’ anime adaptations successful and a worldwide phenomenom. yes it’s not bad to dream something great (i have to say really GREAT) like that but i’m not doing anything to achieve it. my mind is very much aware and enthusiastic but my feelings just can’t motivate itself to go pick a pencil and practice. GOSH! i hope you understood everything i said and i hope you give me some advice.

hi i live in africa the country uganda to be more specific and i want to become a manga-ka ilove and always will love manga and everything about it ithink i even know all the bleach OST’S BY heart im in high school curently age 15 and i have written my own story and still writing plus i draw my heart out and i want this to work so bad for me and i guess im jsut too determined even after my mom told me that she thinks manga is rubbish to her and when my friends decided to split apart and do different stories on their own plus to add on im black and i havent heard of a foreign manga-ka let alone a black foreign manga-ka but what keeps me going and motivated is my dad he loves that i love manga and he would do anything to help me i even want to learn jappanese so what im saying is dont get disccouraged dont let anyone even try to discourage you just block it out and focus on what you love coz no one can tell you to stop loving something and actually have it work on you so use your brain forget that you are different coz were not we all have two eyes i cant recall anyone saying that its wrong to be different and they were better so use your connectoins friends ,family anything that can help you get what you want coz if you stop fighting you might as well be dead.cya and reply to this ok i wanna hear what you have to say and what you waqnt and stuff
