Wayne Dyer… Need I say more? I’m not big on motivational speakers, but this man REALLY gets into my head! I LOVE HIM!

PBS has been running Wayne’s new special as part of their promotional drive, at least here in PA. I don’t know about other PBS stations, but I’ve always assumed they ran similar programs. The program “Dr. Wayne Dyer: Inspiration — Your Ultimate Calling” was designed to promote his new book. As usual, the program is filled with stories designed to promote change and spiritual well-being. My husband and I have tuned in to watch the program several times, and I hope you get a chance to watch it too.

Also, you can tune into Wayne Dyer on Hay House Radio, Radio for the Soul. It’s free to sign up for an account, and after that, all you need is Windows Media Player. So Stop by and check that out: http://www.hayhouseradio.com/programs.php

For the teacher, the teacher will appear…

Many years ago I was a victim. I was a victim of child abuse, sexual abuse, drug abuse, self-abuse. . . oh how the list can go on and on. Even after I was no longer being abused, the self-abuse went on and on. It was the world’s fault that I was angry. It was my childhood that made me lash out. It wasn’t my fault. How on earth could it be my fault? I was the victim.

Both my husband and I were searching. Even in the midst of self-loathing so deep it no longer even seems realistic, we were looking for a way out of the darkness. Many people would run headlong back into religion and cling to the light without thinking twice, but this was something I found incredibly difficult. Having faith had never been one of my strong points, so instead of turning to faith, I turned to self-help.

By the time I had opened myself up to Wayne Dyer’s work, I had pulled myself out of the mire enough to know that the things he was saying were meant to hurt, but not meant to create a lasting pain. It was through repeated visits to his work that I finally came to understand that I am only a victim as long as I continue to play that role. I’ve learned to forgive myself, and in that quest for forgiveness I’ve come at last to terms with unconditional faith.

While life’s quest may not always seem simple, it is beautiful, and it is a gift. Life is inspiration, and my cup is overflowing.
