Worth doing!
It was a wonderful day, and in retrospect I’m so glad I have these memories. It’s amazing how much of one’s life disappears, fades, or breaks, but these memories only getting better.

My family and I did this 3 years in a row and we’d like to do it again this year. You get up early and lineup with 30,000 bikers all around you. Then you bike through the streets of New York all day. This is a family event for people of all fitness levels. Children often participate too. Don’t be daunted – you can choose from three different distance goals, and there are five rest stops offering water and snacks.

I’ll admit to wanting to do this pretty much just so I can say I had. It’s a 42-mile route through the five boroughs of NYC on May 7th. I (barely) finished an 18-mile bike ride a couple months ago, so I better start getting prepared…
