figure out how to use my sewing machine.

I’m thinking about signing up for sewing lessons.

I just moved so now my sewing table, and sewing machine can finally be together! LOL! Once I unpack my boxes, and find my sewing books, fabric, and other odds, and ends I’ll be able to FINAlLY take the sewing machine out of the box! I can’t believe that the sewing machine has been in a box for almost a year, and never used!

I’ll be so happy to finally be able to use it!

I think that the first thing I’m going to attempt to do is to hem a pair of jeans. Should be interesting. I hope that it works ok.

how bad am I? I haven’t even taken it out of the box. Once I’ve taken it out of the box, read the operating manual, and loaded the bobbins then I’m gonna mark this goal as completed… and then open a goal to ‘learn how to sew’!

It had some cool ideas so I bought it.

I was at the dollar store and was going to buy a bunch of bobbins. I thought that it was a good deal. Ironically, the lady working at the dollar store had relatives who used to own a sewing store, and she told me that bobbins are machine specific. She also told me that it could be really bad if the bobbin gets stuck, because it’s the wrong size.

I ended up just buying a bunch of needles for the sewing machine, as I thought that it would be a one size fits all type of thing. I think that I’ll probably go through a lot of needles too. I remember breaking a few when I learned how to sew years ago (in home ec class).

That’s a start.

So with that fantastic little stitcher I made my boyfriend his birthday gift, a lobster costume!! Alight, I did a pretty poor job with it but it is damn cool. I want to keep up with using it and see what kind of things I can get a way with using this nifty little device.

I just bought a sewing machine and now it’s a matter of getting it out of the box and learning how to use it.

I want to make some nice curtains, sofa and chair covers, a purse, UNDERWEAR, and maybe a new wardrobe.
