Learn acoustic guitar

I want to learn to play guitar however I am left-handed so it might be more of a challenge.

But I am! On Friday during school, I was downstairs in a study-hall while a friend of mine was playing guitar. I thought it was cool and mumbled to myself I’d love to learn. My friend looked at me and said, “Want me to teach you a chord?” So she taught me a C-Chord and an F-Chord. She said I was too big for the guitar’s size and my hands were too big for it too, but I managed. And I didn’t break it! :)

It was a success. Although I haven’t learned to play, it’s a start, and I never thought that start would have happened so soon.

“It’s so easy!” your friend states as she struggles to put your fingers onto position for the G minor chord. “Why can’t you do it?”
“I seriously don’t know,” you reply. “I wish I could learn in a day!”
So far, i have taught myself four chords by memory, but i can’t play many songs with four chords, can I? E minor isn’t very useful…
I would like a teacher, but where, who and when?
Maybe i could try those unsuccessful chords again. I just can’t get it!

my co-worker just told me that she TOO wants to learn to play the guitar AND that she knows someone who could probably teach us. I need to get that baby out of the closet and start strumming!!

an absolute MUST. tried getting friends/fam to teach me but i’m too stubborn; tried teaching myself and that didn’t work out…etc. so, am trying to get a professional to whip me into shape. we’ll see.

Playing a musical instrument is stimulating and it’s a great stress reliever. Too bad the only instrument I can play is flute, which I really don’t like very much. So I’m going to buy an acoustic guitar with my tax return and learn how to play it.
