How I did it: I got my learner permit in March 2008 but after the initial satisfaction and delight at being able to drive, I was always too lazy to practise or arrange lessons or even book my test. Finally, last Christmas I decided I had to get my act together so I got one lesson and found out what was expected of me and every weekend after that I practised what I had been told. How I did it: practiced ALOT! Even if it was just driving to the shop and back, get in as much practice as u can and things become alot easier. Remember as much theory as you can because knowing all of the road signs, etc is extremely useful and makes u more aware on the roads! Read how I did it…
How I did it: I Passed my Driving test nearly a year ago and still can't believe I have passed! It took me six months to learn to drive, and I took 2hrs a day practise with my Driving instructor. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I had a really good teacher and tried not t get any bad habits. I kept on getting lessons even though my teacher said that i was good and didn't really need anymore. but having all ready failed once before and wanted to be safe not sorry. Read how I did it…
How I did it: i had driving lessons for my birthday, had wicked fun, hated my instructor as he messed me around loads, spent far too much money and failed my test twice and finally passed on the 3rd go on 18th march =D Read how I did it…

I took my second test today and I passed! I only made two minor faults as well! Surprised the heck out of me…
I’m not concerned about rushing this any more. I’m not going to take it until I’m 99.9% confident.
Crystal is learning about this site :D
so i hope to pass the driving test
passed the written part and now i have to worry on the actual driving part
I took my first driving test today and failed.
I got one fault for misjudging a roundabout and another for breaking too heavily (we changed speed zones, and I saw the sign as I was passing it, you should have seen my determination not to get a ticket!)
But I know why I failed, and I know that I won’t make those faults again. Hopefully next time I’ll pass…
So, I have a small speeding problem. Pretty big actually…
I took a mock test today and got
1 x use of speed
3 x approach speed (lead to a serious)
1 x acceleration
1 x (serious) for traffic signs (not slowing down to 20mph)
And the rest
1 x control (reverse park)
3 x stalls (lead to serious)
1 x observation
1 x lane discipline.
However in my opinion these should be easy enough mistakes to rectify.
Actually it wasn’t that bad. Actually it was pretty good considering I have a huuuuuge blister on my heel and haven’t driving in 3 and a half months! I didn’t stall once! :) It wasn’t a prefect drive but it was an okay drive and my maneuvers were okay once I remembered how to do them.
I say the only really bad bit was at this busy roundabout and I literally couldn’t turn (well I could make the turn just my instructor wouldn’t have been happy about my judgement) and I’d been waiting for ages and one very angry driver behind me kept beeping me, in the end I got fed up and just went for it, my driving instructor wasn’t very happy about it but I was Bored with a capital B and starting to fear for my own safety and the driving beeping me was getting more and more aggressive!
Fucking roundabouts.
Failed twice for really stupid reasons!! Taking it again early next month. I have to pass.
22 hours booked. My instructor said bearing in mind the number of minors I got on my last test I’d need 10 hours, then I figured 10 extra to get back into the swing of things after just under a 4 month break. I starting next Wednesday.
I also booked another test for the 5th June. I want to take one before my exams and I can alway cancel if I’m not ready. If I fail/aren’t ready then I’ll have to take another couple weeks off for exams and then I’ll be well into July before another test(my 3rd personal challenge for this goal runs out on the 20th July) and I want to of passed by then.
I just need to work my arse off really.
Arghhh, I’m dreading it already :(
