Woohoo, am I lovin me some baseball this summer! Both kids are playing, and I have been there for every game cheering them on! Not only that, we are using this as an oppurtunity to come together as a family and practice on the weekends and whenever we can squeeze it in! It’s been a blast! (Also helps with the whole exercise bit!) 3 years ago

So, I’ve not decided if this goal should be a spontaneous thing or if I should let my mad-planning side loose…....I figured if I just know of a million fun things to do in advance, we have more to choose from at any given moment right? There are so many fun (FREE)things going on in our area right now it’s hard to decide on any one thing…...I like that they pick some random weird things to check out too!! Apparently, there will be lots more to come this summer :) 4 years ago

Today we played the most random version of baseball known to man but it was the MOST fun :) I actually ran (nothing chasing me or on fire) and we laughed so hard we nearly fell out :)))) LOVE THE SUNSHINE with my kiddies!! 4 years ago

Today’s sprinkler run was a raging success as was the impromptu taco party with a butt load of kiddies running around like a bunch of wild indians! MUCH LAUGHING :) 4 years ago

My lil lovelies don’t know it yet but tomorrow is wash the car/dog day and I’ve got plans to turn em loose with the sprinklers….Now I know this is terribly irresponsible but sometimes it’s just fun to say to hell with responsible and I KNOW they will love it! 4 years ago

ALthough we are broke as jokes right now, I am supremely glad that I’ve not taken a job this summer! I have had some of the best adventures this summer with my kids and they are doing so good in accomplishing our “goals” we set out for them…..swimming and bike riding! It has been an adventure and I’m so glad I’ve been here with them to be a part of it :) 4 years ago

This goal is actually going pretty well. I am spending a lot of time with the kids this summer….we’ve been going swimming, to the movies, on lil adventures to local art exhibits (i know right?? but it’s all outdoors) and we also have plans to check out some of the local festivals that are coming up! It’s been really nice :) My son is riding his bike now and my daughter is doing really good with her swimming…..We’ve made s’mores, tried out new resteraunts, and we have some art projects going….all kinds of groovy stuff….GO ME! 4 years ago

Ok so this may be considered totally lazy but to be fair it has been very cold lately, at any rate to get to the point, my kids and I have lately been into 1)Guitar Hero III and 2)watching Dirty Jobs and Cash Cab on Discovery….....We have laughed our tails off!!! My daughter is too small to play the game but she sings backup with her piano/microphone and it is friggin hilarious!!! We also love Discovery Channel thanks to all the wonderful new things we know about poop/animals/trivia!!! It’s been fun….:) 5 years ago

Ok this seems to be the only goal I’ve not been slacking on… although I would like it noted, my slacking is not intentional!
I have managed to find quite a few things to do to cover this one and my children(as well as myself) are loving it! We’ve done parks, songs, and all manner of odds-n-ends! I have even entered a CAVE and tried my hand (and feet) at several different sports!! 6 years ago

The holidays have been a great time for me to work on this one! We have had a blast the whole time ~ though there has been misbehavior and punishments cause they still have to follow the rules ~ and I’ve barely used the daycare or any other resources to rid myself of them for a while! It’s been nice having the family time, nice for my kids and nice for my marriage, and I’ve even let them have pound cake and coffee for breakfast (Mom is great; she feeds us pound cake! See Bill Cosby as himself circa the early 80’s!) I am really loving the role of MOM right now! 6 years ago

Ok so I have made a sincere effort to loosen up and I think I am doing ok! We laugh for sure and dancing is one of the best things about being a mom I think! While my husband has NO rythym (?) my kids are safe from that particular genetic curse! My baby girl has developed the scary habit of getting naked while in the throws of dance….even though its really cute, it has me a lil worried ; ) 6 years ago

Ok so technically it’s not dancing but if you’ve ever dated a player (which I have) they can make it look like dancing when they move it across the field and we just signed up my boy and mini-mean is onboard for cheerleading (I think she could prolly do better at tackling!) We’ve been out in the front yard having a ball (no pun intended
