pretty much the same thing as a gym membership. payed with tuition :P
it is the most amazing thing ever. i love going there so much. its like therapy. and an addiction. plus its only like 100 yards away, which is super convenient. much nicer than a regular gym membership i suppose. cuz i can just go whenever i want and it’ll be worth the effort.
i will definitely enjoy this added benefit while i’m here! :D

How I did it: I went in and bought a gym membership at Planet Fitness. The gym is really nice, and I loved the free tanning booths, but after going religiously for about 3 days, I never went again, and still paid 20$ a month for over a year. This is only worth doing if you have a lot of free time to actually go to the gym. Read how I did it…

How I did it: but finally i did today, it's only 11$ for students and then a joining fee which was 25$. My mom mom paid for it. I'm going to go to the Y after school tomarrow and get to know the place. I can't wait to get started, and tone up. Read how I did it…
How I did it: It was simple. Basically you just go to the gym and sign up lol..It was just getting out of bed before work that was getting to me. But I'm happy I did it and now I can work on my weight loss goals! Read how I did it…

How I did it: I tried the gym here out, and I liked it enough to get a membership. It was a pretty spendy enrollment fee, but I did get $20 off at my gym for signing up before my trial period was over. It was a decent incentive. Now we'll see if I can stick with it. Read how I did it…

My friend has a guest pass to the JCC and she’s gonna let me use it sometime. I’m not Jewish, but neither is she, so I guess it doesn’t matter that it’s the JCC. Anyways, I’m 14 and the memberships are like $35 a month I think.. I’ll see if it’s worth it. I’d love to start exercising at least three times a week. Right now, all I do is gym class at school and an occasional 20-minute workout on the stationary bike in my basement.
Oh, and the JCC has saunas… a little bonus. :)
Tomorrow, my dad and I are taking our first step towards getting a gym membership. We’re going to go tour the YMCA in town tomorrow… compared to other gyms, it has a pool AND it’s less than a 1/2 mile from home. Hopefully it will seem like a great place to work out, or at least it will inspire us to tour somewhere else in town. Can’t wait!

I’ve got this one in the bag. I’m starting a seven day trial, tomorrow, at this place right next to work, and I’m pretty sold on working out there. The enrollment fee is pretty steep $129, but we can split it if multiple people enroll at once, and I’ve already got one coworker who’s going to enroll with me. After that it’s just $30 a month, and there aren’t any contracts, so then next time this thing is updated, I should be marking it as “done.”
SmallVictories is fine and dandy and, by the way, addicted to FarmTown.
but it’s the stick-with-it-ness that counts.
This is a goal I gave up on early last year, but then I joined the MAA in March. In December I moved away. I am looking forward to finding a similar gym here in Copenhagen.

This is really a stepping stone goal, and hopefully I can accomplish it this week. I have a friend who works at a gym, and she claims she can help me get a membership on the cheap. The gym I’m looking at is a $129 membership fee and then $29 a month fee. I don’t know if I’m willing to pay that large of a fee just for membership, but hopefully I can get some sort of deal. Once this goal is accomplished I will set goals for weight loss/exercise routines.
misslariss You cheated on me?? When I specifically asked you not to?!
Since one of my other goals (re: working out 5 times a day) really isn’t happening at this point, I’m going to change two elements to make the process easier:
1. Find a friend with a similar goal (done!)
2. Get a gym membership
Since going away to school, I’ve found it difficult to get any exercise at all… my dorm room is too small to move around freely in, and my campus is downtown so it’s difficult to go for impromptu jogs.
My friend and I are going to join the U’s gym in January and start going together… we’ll be able to motivate one another, and the gym is right on campus so it won’t take a lot of effort to go.
saracat21 is ready for a change
I want to start going to the gym everyday maybe 2 times a day. I would love a place to go everyday to escape in a world where no one can touch me, bother me, control me or judge me. I want to run my stress out and focus on my possibility of being the fit skinny woman i have always wanted to be!
has a membership to Anytime Fitness.
so i went with her and got a 7 day trial pass thing. and that place is so nice!!! like..tv’s on every machine and stuff. its soo cool. but its uber expensive! like 40 or 50 dollars a month…
not good for a teenager.. :S
lol so i don’t think this is gonna get accomplished anytime soon. even if i go to a cheaper gym. i dunno. but i would love to have a gym membership! for reals. i love gyms. and working out. :)
Ashley has the munchies.
I want a gym membership! Every time I get one, I start out really good, then I don’t go. I want to get one again, but I need the funds. Why are they so expensive (especially the good ones?)
