never buy something from walmart again

Okay, so I needed a nice folder for an interview the next day, so I had literally no choice but to go to Wal-Mart because of my location. But I went a good 6 months of not purchasing anything from there, so I’ve accomplished a lot.

I was forced to purchase a table cloth from Wal-Mart a few weeks ago. But come on, you can’t find that anywhere else. Plus, I also got reimbursed for it, so it doesn’t count :) .

I faaltered over the holidays… bought something that was ridiculously priced (beacuse large scale stores like Wally can do that)but I haven’t been there in a little over 2 months!

I still have not bought anything at a Wal-Mart in 2009. I’m beginning to see that this goal is definitely doable, you just have to find the right places.

And how come I’m the only one posting entries on this? lol

Wow, it’s been a few weeks without shopping at Shit-Mart. I can’t believe it’s working!

I just spent $105 at Discount Drug Mart for back to school stuff. No Wal-Mart for me!

I would like to go the whole year without shopping at Wal-Mart, but dammit they have some things that I can’t find elsewhere lol. I’m gonna try though. I hate Wal-Mart!

damned groceries are so cheap!! if we weren’t struggling as bad as we are i would fight for this harder, but i saved a fortune today on groceries. ohhh the guilt. damn you george w. for ruining the flippen economy!!

soooo, it’s between the 4$ prescriptions and steam-fresh broccoli that keep me tied to the devil. the 4$ prescriptions i have an answer too. I think that a few other local pharmacies have taken on the same price plan to compete with walmart. Soo, i will go there. the Broccoli though, i’m going to find tough because the prices at other stores fluctuate so much and the hubby LOVES his broccoli, and how can you stand between a man and his vegetables?? I mean, seriously, he eats a whole bag at a time, over a period of a month that can easily be 30 bags of broccoli (math: 30 bags x (2.15-1.73) = $12.60)(12.60×12 = 151.20 a year in broccoli savings!!) i think i am going to write my thesis paper in philosphy on the moral arguement of this very subject.

I must admit failure. I did buy five things from Wal*Mart in the past month. While staying with my grandmother in Alma, it’s just unavoidable to go there … but I feel pretty guilty for spending my money there. I won’t do it again. From here on out, I’m sticking to this goal!
