lushuzpnay is going to go walk for a few miles
this is the year ! i don’t go to nearly enough classes as i should… i haven’t taken many since last spring
How I did it: I started going to a dance studio in the city nearest to me. I had been to a few dance classes there before and had always been impressed with the instructors, the other dancers, and how i felt afterwards. I always got so much out of each class, so i finally decided to fit one into my schedule, and now I take a 90 minute modern class once a week. I would love to do even more but knowing that I have at least one dance class a week makes me really happy. My schedule with training for the sport i'm involved in, as well as working and going to college really doesnt leave a lot of time for me. Dancing is completely indulgent.
Lessons & tips: GET UP AND GO.

i love dance…all kinds, modern ballet jazz afromodern lyrical even tap… and every time i take a dance class i get this big rush of happiness and its such a release. not only do they make me happier, but theyre enhancing my movement experience which is beneficial to my ice dance training. i just wish i had more time to take good quality dance classes.
my goal is to take as many more dance classes as i can fit into my schedule! they make me happy and theyre worth the pick up fee.
I’ve taken hip hop classes at school and salsa classes at the gym. Both were fun.
I LOVE!!! to dance! I do it on a small scale all the time! :P while I’m cooking, cleaning, showering, getting dressed, waiting for the bus, working, or just walking from one room to the next! :P I just love the movement and flow of it! my favorite so far is Belly Dancing! it feels so natural and almost primeval! :D
I want to try Swing dance, Latin, Salsa, ect.
YAY DANCE! :D
i had to go back to my hometown for a little while so i’ve missed some classes.
went out dancing last night though, but only got about the equivalent of 15 minutes on the floor. resuming lessons on sundays again while the instructor is still in the country and am going to my second swing patrol class this monday. i’m looking forward to it, it should be good.
I have done some latin dancing classes before. I hope to take more and other styles like hip-hop, tap, funk and beginners ballet.
i had one today. i take salsa/cha cha cha with a couple of friends of mine.
tomorrow is swing/charlston and thursday night is salsa again, only this time as a guy instead of being a girl.
it’s nice to know you’re getting exercise out of something you enjoy doing.
problem: dance teacher is leaving the country for two years in august. am sad about that. means i’ll have to find another teacher, although am doubting i’ll find one as good…
but must not give up!
i can’t do that without actually going!
i was taking private swing/charlston lessons but they’ve finished now.
i was taking private salsa lessons but the teacher is always busy and about to move overseas for a couple of years!
i should do the group lessons, but i feel held back by them sometimes and if they’re popular then they’re just way too crowded.
but i will.
i shall take those group lessons dammit and learn!
I went to dance class on the 3rd of March and had fun, lots of freestyle dances with people. I felt good and it was great exercise.
I’m hoping to go tonight too, and there is a St patricks day theme. :-)
My roommate and i were looking at RCC (riverside community college) which is close to our college, and has an AWESOME dance program, much better than what is offered at U of R. so next year we want to take some classes there. i’m really excited about it… i just hope i can afford the cost of the classes plus the cost of gas to get there and back however many times a week!
