empower women to breastfeed

I am a breastfeeding peer counselor in Chicago. I went throught the program with Chicago Health Connection. It was one of the best and informative moments! Not only did I learn about myself and my capabilities for my child; but I can pass this info along. The world needs more informed mothers who can help other mothers. Not corporations who have never birthed a child and are all about the milk money!!

I just joined the committee of Breastfeeding Mothers Support Group Singapore as well as occasionally advising breastfeeding moms in Indonesia. I’m so happy, and hope to be able to make a difference

LLL does this, and there are other groups. Or you could go it alone. I was involved with LLL for about 14 years, a leader for like ten. It was so worth it! It only takes about a year to become a leader, and you get to read such interesting stuff and they teach you a lot! Plus you get to meet like-minded families . . . and your kids turn out great! Go for it!
