not be so nice

well i believe that being nice/unnice to everyone is not the matter.
i think that you should help others in all cases EXCEPT the cases when doing someone a favor can harm your interests or those of your friends.
first of all this includes your time, money and other resources. don’t help anyone in harm of yourself or if it makes you uncomfortable with your resources. don’t donate all of your money or you’ll end up hungry tomorrow. don’t help others with work if you have plenty to do.
this is not being evil. this is not being egocentric. this is just a plain way of taking care of yourself first, and others after.
i believe that’s the only way to survive.

All my life I’ve been way too nice. I can never seem to say no to any favor requested and I find it hard to turn people down and tell them to go away. Because of this I have more than my fair share of stalker-type people. I want to grow a backbone and learn to not be so nice.
