Happy Earth Day everyone!
Worth doing!
It’s ongoing so I don’t want it to take up a spot on more 43T anymore.
I have:
-joined Green Campus
-lobbied
-become vegetarian
-live carfree
-no excess waste of anything
-studying geography
Worth doing!
Each one of us has to do what ever one can possibly do in this matter. We can use smaller cars, try to recycle things, NOT TO USE THE THINGS THAT CAUSES POLLUTION IN THERE PRODUCTION.
Worth doing!
Things we can live without and which causes pollution in there production, should be stopped from being made at the first place i.e. A Vase, Other decorations , things made of plastic etc
Worth doing!
One child policy should be implemented all over the world. Each child needs and consumes a lot of resources from this world, more children means more consumption and pollution. United Nations and other International organizations should consider this.
I’m doing my weekly trip down to the recycling point this morning. I also bought some cotton carrier bags yesterday, well only two but it’s a start. Also our new washing machine arrived this week which has an eco cycle on it which I have been using great.
As we have just moved it’s taken me a while to start this goal. The first things I have done is to recycle more, this is quite easy to do as theres a recycling point at the top of the road. There I can recycle plastic, glass, magazines and newspapers, cardboard, cans, clothes and even food cartons. I’m also switching all our light bulbs to energy sufficent ones and turning off everything by the plug when not in use. also when our baby is born I will be using natural nappies instead of the disposables ones.
This now leads me to the list of things that I need to do:
1. Get reuseable bags for the shopping
2. When I pass my test and able to buy a car it will be a hybrid
3. Change all bills to online billing so I don’t use the extra paper
I’m sure there will be more things to add at a later date.
I don’t think anyone can ever achieve this goal. Even when we think “Oh yeah, the Earth’s fine.” It’s not. If we act like that, then we’ll just live in a perfect world and then when we don’t anything, it crumbles back to the way it was. Like tidying your room. Oh yeah it’s clean. 1 day later. 2 days later. A mess. See what I mean? We gotta keep trying!
The Earth is the MOST important thing we have. I believe if coutrues stop fighting and we come togather we can save this earth. After all what is the point of going to war if there is no earth. So what if we have to make sacrifices the planet does so much for us and all we do is desroy it. This earth existed millions of without humans. Now that were here the Earth is falling apart. We have to green our footprint on this Earth.
The environment will be just fine. It’s the survival of the human race that needs to be saved.

“My club is starting a magazine to help promote environmental awareness. One of my biggest concerns though is how can we get people to read it? Having an online site just isn't enough because people tend to ignore it. How else can we publish it?”

Naamiee asks,
“I know this is an ongoing goal and an important one at that, but where do I start? Recycle? Walk instead of drive? Or join an activist group? To what extent can I say that I have already tried to 'save the environment'?”
