i will keep this one on the back burner, though im not sure what the ‘new project’ is. 6 years ago

CHEERS TO YOU ALL!!!! 6 years ago
what happened to this goal?
but ill keep an eye out to see if anything exciting does :) 6 years ago
and 1 more ! for good measure.
if there’s someone passionate about their city, then my face should be in wikipedia for that because I have created 11 new sites in Kingston with links and homemade pictures and descriptions. Plus created the Kingston and Fruit Belt locals! Check out Kingston! If there’s a way I can help promote this city, please help me help me do it! I messaged everyone in it, so now we wait!

trying to add goals on this one….I’m reforming…only goals which I am passionate about will go on my list….Why waste your time and mine on things which are not of REAL interest to me…..
or you???? No Offense meant, just trying to clean up my space….

Seems that it is difficult to find people from Indonesia to participate in this goal.
Anyway…I have to drop this goal. Maybe at some other time… 6 years ago
I just want to clear a space on my list. 6 years ago
Need to do some housecleaning and pare down my list of goals so that they’re manageable. 7 years ago
I count too—I lived in the Back Bay for a grand total of three months [and north of the city all through high school]. I went in earlier today and made the “official” neighborhoods from cityofboston.gov and tried my best to sort places into their neighborhoods. Will someone who’s more local double check my work and shuffle anything that isn’t quite right?
I also added in a few things that were missing—like Kenmore Square and the Duck Boat Tours. How could we not have an entry on the Duck Boat tours?! 7 years ago
I see a whole list of worldwide? venues added from upcoming.org.
Time to start categorizing, people. 7 years ago
I think that if you guys are picking people to help with the project based on local activity on 43places, then you should have a look at me and all the work I’ve done improving Amarillo, and the Texas Panhandle. 7 years ago

Go Blue! There must be other Ann Arborites out there who want to join me in making our city one of 43Places 15 cities. 7 years ago
4. places have events
5. goals are created because of events
6. events can be tagged too
7. an event can have a website
8. For people in this goal, the city which you live in should become appear after clicking on the Home link because that is likely the one you will update the most.
9. Can the Upload Photo Link not disappear after I classify the place?
10. events can recur annually
11. places have websites about many events taking places in it. Too bad you don’t currently have an algorithm to absorb data from a site. Instead we have to manually enter it in.
12. people can have milestone dates and ranges – hehe, we can turn 43people.com into an organized wikipedia…I’m thinking about composers and being able to mark events in their lives alongside when the composed pieces of music. The dates can appear in one column on the left of the descriptions…..doesn’t google finance do this for a stock’s “life”?
13. The same event can occur on multiple days
14. Festival type events span days.
15. for 43things, have a page that plots the location of all people who are doing the goal, different colours may represent whether they have completed the task or not! 7 years ago
Allright Roanoke – we have cleared the election hurdle, lets start boosting the city.
I know I’ll probably be alone in this, but what the hey. 7 years ago
I heard about it… I read about it… but I still have no clue but figured there nothing better in the world than jump head in first to something I know nothing about . Hopefully I stick around, unlike so many projects I started but failed to continue.. hahaha.
Keep me posted, toronto~ 7 years ago
All of 30 hours after making a NYC specific goal Team NYC qualifies. Seattle, Cleveland, NYC are in for the first round of prototyping which should start soon – where are you at Vancouver, Toronto, Atlanta, SF, London, Melbourne, and Singapore – it’s not to late to make a push!
P.S. What a cool set of leading cities. 7 years ago
Anyone else in NYC who wants to do this should join our new team here! 7 years ago
Hi, I just thought that some goals are associated with places.
1. places have goals
For example, there is this one cake place, and I want to eventually try all their cakes. This feature would allow users to more easily link between the 2 sites.
2. things have goals
In the same way, allconsuming.net’s things can be associated with goals. As well, certain things can only be consumed in certain places (in special cases).
Eventually, in an organic way, all these sites will sort themselves out to produce correct heirarchies and relationships because so many heads are working together.
3. cause and effect relationships
I was thinking some more, and the relationships we find may document cause and affect relationships. Ie. most people who consume this will do these things. 7 years ago
So far we’ve got two cities (Seattle & Cleveland) with more than 10 locals signed up to help us build the next generation of the 43places site – focused on a set of features that expand local knowledge and encourage urban exploration. By my count, here is the score for the rest so far:
Toronto: 7
London: 6
Atlanta: 6
Singapore: 6
Vancouver: 5
San Francisco/Bay Area: 5
Dallas: 4
Melbourne: 4
Washington, DC: 3
Glasgow: 3
Edinburgh: 3
Boston: 2
New Haven, CT: 2
Rome: 2
Milan: 2
Portland, OR: 2
Places with one local volunteer: Chicago, New England (floater), NYC, Calgary, Tel Aviv, Lima, Tierra del Fuego, Amarillo, Normon, Peoria, Praha, Berrien Springs, Austin, Newcastle upon Tyne, Wellington, Chapel Hill, Mineapolis, Columbus, Tampa, Newark DE, LA, Richmond, Rochester, Jakarta, Sydney, Tallahassee, Phoenix, & Portland ME.
Draft your friends! Message a stranger. Give us suggestions to better advertise the goal. We are super excited about the work we are doing on 43places.com – let us know what you think we need to do to get 13 more cities super excited too! 7 years ago
Anyone else out there for this? I travel around New England quite a bit so I could also join the Boston team or pretty much any other place in the 6 state radius. Great idea! 7 years ago
