it’s got to be in the house somewhere, unless… my ex-boyfriend made off with it. One way or the other, I will start taking pictures again soon! There was an incredible glow on the snowy mountaintops this afternoon as the sun got ready to set. Wish I could have captured it on film!

I have misplaced my digital camera, which I used last on a cruise with my parents following a divorce. My life and confidence were rather unraveling at the time, and I think I literally did not want to preserve any images at that time. It felt like I was in a fog and could not see how the future would unfold for me. I’ve come a long way, baby, and have my confidence back and then some. Life is good and I appreciate the beauty around me. I went to Ireland last summer without my camera, taking pictures on instant single use cameras. But I miss using the memory card, seeing the shot in the viewfinder and reviewing it afterward, and saving the shots I really like. My camera should be here somewhere!

I’ve been taking some snapshots lately, and I think I’m rekindling my love for photography. I don’t have my old sense for exposure or composition, (plus I’m using a digital camera for the first time), but I’m sure it’ll all come back.

Got my camera… and now taking pictures of most anything. Even my vegetarian lunch.

Just sent off a money order to pay for a new digital camera. No, it’s not an SLR, but it’s a start – or a re-start. It’ll feel good to get shooting again.
I’ve already set up a photo blog! http://todaysnewphoto.blogspot.com
I expect the camera to show up in about 15 days – that would be somewhere between May 8th and May 10th!
