6 for 2009 10 months ago

I believe 6 clients/projects is a nice number for 2009. Should be able to work on their projects while maintaining my day job (for now!)

I just started my own business about 3 months ago. I’ve got a few really good clients, but I want to get more diverse clients to keep my work interesting.

I’m a salesperson,I’m in charge of exporting bamboo products, like bamboo towel, bamboo robe, bamboo underwear and bamboo pants etc.
well,I’ve worked few months,i tried my best to get the first order, finally the client whom i’ve contacted for 2months told me that their company has some financial difficulties due to the bank crisis,so they have to put the major activities on hold right now…...anyway,i hope the first order would be placed soon.

Web Design & Hosting 17 months ago

I am a web designer and Hosting company. Trying to get about 50 clients. So far i have around 3 and a couple potential ones. this is because i want to quit my full-time job that has nothing to do with what i majored in. Then i can quit my job and find a decent consistent paying job with benefits.

I'm so shy ... 18 months ago

Being a salesperson is not my forte. My old business partner had a knack for this.

Now that I’m flying solo, with all the benefits that entails, guess I gotta fill the void somehow.

Any ideas? Hmmm.

Now I’m at 7! Yeah!

Hurray!!! 19 months ago

Ok, this is awesome! I now have 6 paying clients! Hurray!

That means that I’ve just added 50% to my monthly income and I have found ways to make room for at least 14 more clients without having to quit anything else that I’m doing right now! Yeah!

So, now that I’ve had some successes here and have made room for even more clients, I’ve decided to set a number goal.

By June my goal is to have 15 monthly clients on the books, and to be making at least $3,000 per month from this business.

To reach this goal, I commit to inviting at least 30 new people to have an assessment session with me by May 15th. If only 2/3rds of them agree, and only 1/2 of my assessment sessions end up in paying clients, then I should be able to easily reach this goal.

This is fun!

Woohoo!!! 19 months ago

Ok, I have been at this for a few weeks and have gotten great results! I have 3 new clients and 7 more 30 minute sample sessions in the next two weeks (and so far my close rate is 100%!)

And I’ve only tapped into 1/5 of my network. I’m seriously thinking that I’ll make my 15 paying clients goal very quickly!

Lovin’ it!!

Goal: approach 42 people about an assessment within 90 days 20 months ago

I work with smart entrepreneurs as a business and marketing coach. I help them see the revenue producing resources that they already have and teach them how to take full advantage of that in a way that fits their personality and desired lifestyle.

I know what I need to do to get more clients and to refine my skills, so I’m challenging myself to invite at least 42 people from my personal network to have a free 30-minute assessment session within 90 days.

I’ll get to practice explaining coaching and finding a need, and they will get to talk about their life for 30 minutes. And if I will almost certainly get some few paying clients out of it as well.

I’ve come up with ways to talk to them about it that doesn’t feel forced and that is low pressure. I’ve already got 5 people who have agreed to do the assessment session.

Whoo hoo!!
