For sure shorter, maybe layers, and blonder.

How I did it: Every haircut I kept going for 'just a trim' or 'few more layers' and it was so boring. I hated my hair parted in the middle but I didn't dare change it, I was worried I'd end up with something I didn't like and be stuck with it for ages, or the hairdresser would get it wrong. I've been more open to change and a bit more confident recently so I decided to impulsively book a hairdressers appointment and finally get a sweeping side fringe a… Read how I did it…

How I did it: I was recommended a stylist by a couple friends, so I brought some pictures to her studio and the rest is history. Something I've been afraid to do for a while is getting a short haircut, but I took a leap and it actually looks a lot better than my longer hairstyles.I was pretty psyched. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I dug up an old copy of Sophisicate's Hairstyle magazine, ploughed through it to find the cut I really like. Went around to a few salons for pricing, went to the cheapest one haha. Read how I did it…

I had an appointment for a trim and for some reason I started to wonder what I would look like with shorter hair. I don’t know why because I’ve had pretty much the same length hair my entire life. I’ve changed the color a bunch but the cuts always been about the same. So when I got to my appointment (I literally decided I wanted to go short TWO hours before my appointment.) I just said I wanted to go shorter and let my stylists come up with all the details. Everything she asked, I just said YES to. I figured if it turned out bad, I’d deal with it later and It would eventually grow back.
It was probably one of the best decisions I’ve made all year. I know it sounds stupid, but it completely changed my attitude and look on life. It just gave me so much momentum to make changes in other areas and life. Great confidence booster as well because I everywhere I go now I get to hear about how great i look with short hair.

It’s only really a “new hairstyle” when compared with how it’s been for the past few months, which is basically just growing longer, but I love it anyway! :)

I’ve had my hair in a short-ish textured style, more or less like the photo. I’m going to have it cut like my profile picture here, which is basically just a shorter style (I’m wearing it back in the photos.) I’ll make an appointment for some time between 14th and 25th September I think.

I got a haircut.. It turned out atrocious and now I’m gun shy. Maybe ill just get a shaping trim and some high lights. that should perk me up a little.

I have decided I want to grow out my fringe, I think this could take awhile…. damn!
I want to grow my hair out long. It hasn’t been this long since I was in 2nd grade, and I miss it. But it doesn’t look as good as I had hoped. Maybe long hair just isn’t for me.
If I have to get it cut, something short and spunky is good for me, feathered and gelled ends…that sort of thing.
I just need to get over cutting it, especially now before I start growing so attached that I can’t bear to get rid of it like some people! Oh, I am so vain about my hair!

I try just looks and feels strange and uncomfortable. I’m starting to think I like my current style after all. It’s simple and unfussy: i.e – me. A trim and a few layers did help after over a year without any scissors touching my hair, though!
