I’ve attempted a few, easier flips (like flipping over someones back), and it made me remember how terrified I am of flipping. This’ll have to come later, once I’m more sure of myself.
How I did it: I was frustrated with myself for several days after not being able to get my act together and do it. Then, I went to the swimming pool, and once again was getting butterflies from my fear of flipping. After one practice jump, I just did it. All I thought about was jumping away from the diving board. I didn't even really contemplate the flip. I by no means feel like I've mastered this, but it wasn't all that fun, and I don't think I want to pursue mastering front flips any further. For now, I'll stick to rotating on another axis.

My band teacher knows how to do one, so I’m seeing if he can teach me. It’d be fun to know how to do, especially for a drumline show or something.
Did crappy front flip onto my back—I didn’t even think I was going to flip until I was in the air…it was terrible. Very discouraging.
I have this stupid mind block about doing a front flip off of the diving board. It started because one time I did a flip and ended up really close to the diving board. I’m afraid that I’ll hit the board, and can’t really picture myself flipping in the air, which is making it hard for me to do this.
This is especially frustrating because I’ve done front flips so many times before, but now I have this mental block.
