so irritating trying to get a call back! I was just in the process of emailing her when she finally called me. She answered the questions I had, but said I wasn’t locked in on the rate until I get the paperwork to her. So there’s a wasted 4 days waiting for her. She said that rates haven’t risen, though, so as long as that’s the case, no harm done.

I have a bunch of paperwork to pull together by tomorrow. I see filing in my future. 10 months ago

but got a bounceback saying the person handling my loan is not in today, that she’ll return tomorrow. So that answers one of my questions, which was whether they are open to handle loans on Saturdays… 10 months ago

and talked to Someone. And then I talked to Someone Else. And then I might talk to Udder People.

I have a gigantic mortgage on a teeny place, because of when and where I bought at a time when I had little option. But I don’t qualify for any special rates, assistance, or incentives, because I’m not a first-time homeowner, I’m not underwater (though I’ve lost…gasp, I don’t want to think of how much), and I may make too much. (Though I was surprised to learn that the cutoff for some aid is higher than I thought it was.)

Anyway. If I can at least refinance to a lower rate, it will help. 10 months ago
