Presently... 11 months ago

The past slips through our grasping fingers like sand. The future will always be a breath away tantalizing our minds. The present is all we have and we must be content. That is the ultimate freedom.

I want to pause between doing things 15 months ago

I think that will help me stay present. One of my clients is working on staying present at work so she enjoys her work instead of worrying about what is next on the list.

Lynnaii should stop procrastinating

I did so today 19 months ago

when I hung out with my new friend from my class. We had a blast, just window shopping and then eating at a great restaurant. At night, she invited me over to have dinner with her friends. :)

Unfortunately, I am now crunched on time for homework. sigh

I'm a person who looks to the future 19 months ago

One could say I escape “to” the future while I’m in the present in order to avoid the past. Weird, right? Anyways, I want to stop doing that. I want to fully experience the present to the best of the opportunity I’m given. I need to create opportunities for myself as well to enjoy what I do have where I am now with who I’m surrounded with.

I’ve taken steps towards doing this by looking up events around the city and outside. I’m asking friends if they’d like me to visit them or anything (hate to intrude) and such like that. So I have some things planned for this month :) like a festival this weekend and then I’m cooking later that night with other friends. Later this month is a film festival, which sounds exciting, as well as a beer festival. I know a couple people who would definitely be interested. Fun times :).

My theme for this year 21 months ago

I am concentrating on this goal this year. My theme is Experience moments fully.

it really sucks when.... 21 months ago

One of the worst feelings I get is when I realize I have spent my entire free day off worrying about the days I don’t have off.

Struggles too... 23 months ago

I want to learn to appreciate the difficult stuff more. It’s all part of the process, why do I want to rush through it? I’d like to slow down, take a deep breath, and be glad for the moment I’m in right now.

Unfortunately I didn't have a choice ... 2 years ago

I spent the last 10 days living in the moment. One week before I was to travel to Florida to spend Christmas with my parents, my father was diagnosed with colon cancer. Two days after arriving an oncologist told us he may have 20 months as long as he makes it through the aggressive chemo. He came home from the hospital 4 days before Christmas … we all agreed to have a very happy Christmas and to do that we had to all agree to Enjoy The Present and not think about the future.

Living in the present is one of the harderst, most fulfulling goals you can learn to do…!!!

Enjoying my family 3 years ago

It seems that whenever I finally get time to spend with my husband and kids, I always feel like I should be cleaning, or running errands, or “getting something done”. I have the hardest time just being in the moment and not feeling rushed. My two-year-old is the best at helping me be in the moment, because he demands my undivided attention, and does not take no for an answer. I feel like my five-year-old bears the brunt of this particular weakness of mine. He’s so forgiving. My goal more than anything is to enjoy all my moments with him, especially while he is young and wants to be with me.
