finish my sewing project

So, last year, I ordered some heavy weight wool for a coat, but when I got it in the mail, the color was a little…brighter than I had expected, and the plaid was a lot bigger as well. Obviously, I was a little upset, but being that it cost around $35 a yard, on sale, there was no way I was going to let it just sit around and get eaten by moths.
A year later, here I am, finally done cutting out the pieces of the coat, and the shell sown mostly together. I just need to add the sleeves for the shell to done! But…sleeves are my least favorite part of sewing, so I’ve been procrastinating for about a month, now.

All I need is a little encouragement!

I’m sooo happy to have finished my friend’s present,even though I stayed up beyond midnight to do it! I wanted to complete the set of drink coasters as a housewarming gift to give at her party 4 months ago. Well better late than never, and she is an artisan so will understand a handmade gift can sometimes take a bit of time. Now that this one’s done,my mind is freed up for more project ideas… :)

.....because it’s only been 18 months in the making so far…..
