When I was a kid, I had lots of friends. Of course, what mattered most to me was who had the best toys, was the most fun, and had a mom who baked yummy cookies.
I’m nearly 42, and what matters to me has changed quite a bit, although toys, fun and cookies are still personal favorites. :) Now, with less time on my hands, I need to be more careful about who and what gets my time and energy. Friendships need nurturing, and that requires time, too.
I have good friends in my life—but most of them live elsewhere. I really am feeling the need for one or two good girlfriends I can play with locally.
