build a house of cards

I could only get my card-house to be two stories high. My brother helped – we tried the triangle method, but it was even more difficult! We had fun, anyway.

Back when I was a manager at Blockbuster, I’d get sent to cover other stores from time to time. I got sent to a really empty grocery store location one day and it had all those AOL CD-Roms sitting around. I took them and built a huge tower from them.

Old, worn out cards are MUCH better than a fresh pack for building a house of cards. New cards seem to have a shiny, slippery film over them that makes it almost impossible to get a house over 1 floor.

maybe i’ll give this another shot down the road, but my time is better spent on goals that are attainable under the laws of physics. unless they come out with burlap playing cards, or reduce the mass of the earth, i may be stuck with just one floor for my house of cards.
