Trickier than it sounds.

I tried this and I came to the following conclusion:
There are two types of people in the world: people who can pull this off, and people who can’t.
Currently, I’m in the latter group but I’m trying to make the jump to the former group. When I tried inserting random “sweetie”s and “honey”s into my sentences, I had to choke back my gag reflex/laugh at myself for actually doing it AND I felt kind of retarded. Maybe I was trying too hard. It’s really a fine balance between not sounding condescending and sounding a little flirty but not quite at ho’ bag level.
But I will persevere, and in no time, I’ll be “sweetie”-ing my way up to the big league.
