I bought an I-Roast2 and started roasting my own beans. I’ve only done it a few times so far but I’ve managed to do a decent batch of Kona Estate Greenwell and it came out nice with a light roast. I’m still learning and experimenting. It’s alot of fun and even a less than perfect roast tastes better than the stale crap I get in stores or the overroasted, overpriced hot animal urine you get at Starbucks.

I’m officially addicted! I’m getting all my relatives to drink ‘real’ coffee and once they do, they never go back to the old crap! good resources: Here and here
I roast coffee at victrola coffee and occasionally blog about it on tonx.org
I love it when people drop in on me during a roast. In my typically overcaffeinated state, I willingly reveal roasting secrets to anyone who will listen.
Roasting your own beans is fun and I love the smell of the smoke. Makes my mouth water just to think of it!
Ok, I’m a coffee junkie. Caffiene really. I also suffer from a DIY attidute, thus wanting to roast my own beans.
I also suffer from a strange affliction: maker of shitty tasting coffee. Knowing how to make a good cup of coffee is not a prerequisite for this goal, but i am imposing it, as without that skill i will be unable to judge the quality of my freshly roasted beans!
I will create another goal, that this goal depends on… “learn to brew a good cup/pot of coffee”.
