Ohmygosh! I’m so happy. Not with the tattoo itself, it’s a simple design on the back of my neck, a treble and bass clef shaped as a heart, nothing big. I’m just happy with the step forward I’ve made.
Being an artist and having been interested in the tattoo world for some years, regularly attending tattoo festivals, hanging at parlours, apprenticing, etc it was about time I got some ink done on me. I had always been nervous because I have a needle anxiety and whilst I can watch other people get inked no problem, the thought of it being done on myself made me faint. I know, such a baby.
So I grit my teeth last night and went for it, imagining I would be a wuss and faint or cry or ask for the guy to stop every five seconds, but honestly it felt like I was getting a rough massage – I was falling asleep towards the end. Now I just need to focus on taking good care of it until it heals. Looking forward to future ink! :D 14 months ago

I know what I am getting: an ‘om’ symbol on my ankle :) I need to figure out the exact placement of it and size, as well as save up money for it.
I have always contemplated getting an om symbol for what it stands for and for my spirituality. About 2-3 months ago I started living a different lifestyle: a much healthier lifestyle. Now I have achieved a healthy mind body and soul and am so happy with myself every day and proud of the woman I am becoming. When I reach my final goal weight of 135 and maintain it for 2 weeks, I can get this tattoo as a reward to myself and as a remidner to always stay happy and healthy. It is a reminder not only to take a second for clarity and recconect with the universe but just to be well and achieve inner peace every day. I think I will hoefully be getting it around May 5th :) 14 months ago
