I have only spent time in Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament a few times in my life; yet during these times, I felt a closeness to God that is hard to explain.
With my upcoming move to Denver, I am trying to locate a Church that has Adoration on a weekly basis, so that I may spend more time, alone with Christ.
cia007 is a "Romatic Spiritual Tree-Hugger!"
Although I’ve gotten out of the habit the past year due to a shifted schedule and work location, I achieved this goal consistently for about a year and a half- we are blessed with a parish that has Adoration 24-7. As a new mom, I found comfort in just being able to sit in quiet with Jesus, some days saying more, some days just being content to be there.
One thing I learned from a dear wise friend, who I was always wanting to know the “secret” of how they accomplished so much in a given day, and were successful at it—the reply was, “when you make time for God, He multiplies your time.” So many see this commitment as something they just don’t have time for (myself included at times) but reality is and I have experienced this myself, God really does increase your time and help you in other ways you would never expect.
The graces you receive are incredible—some of which you don’t notice until looking back on moments and reflecting on them. In our busy world, meeting Jesus Adoration is a beacon of light!
