Tough Being Conscious  — 2 months ago

It’s tough being conscious, especially when it comes to food. I LOVE to eat good food and I rarely turn down food and beverage offers. But I also feel pretty yucky after I scarf down a burger and fries and then spend an hour sitting around. Eating well connects with good exercise, I think. Heavy greasy foods do not inspire me to exercise, do yoga, or engage in any other healthy-ish activities.I am working hard on this one…

i’m taking this to mean physically live healthy. because up until now, i haven’t been. but i’d like to eat better, exercise more, drink more water, etc. any other suggestions??

1. Sleep 8 hours fr 10pm-6am or 1130-730am.

2. Avoid oily food.

3. Consume 3 servings of fruits daily.

4. Exercise thrice a week.

5. Be happy and replace negative thoughts with optimistic ones.

6. Do house hold chores daily.

7. Learn a new thing daily.

8. Pray daily.

9. Spend quality time with your loved ones often.

10. Do unto to others what you want be done to you.

That’s a bummer that you can’t run competitively anymore. I had to stop running because of stress fractures in my legs (I was 220lbs at the time), but now I am back at it. I ran and walked a combination of 5 miles yesterday, and I may go for 7 today. It feels great to run again.

Balancing Family with Personal Goals  — 4 months ago

I recently had to stop competitive running (a great enjoyment of mine) for family and health reasons. I’m not a strict vegeterian so I’ll start making exceptions for iron-rich foods like pig liver and an occaisional rare steak. We are meant to eat meat, hence the sharp teeth in our mouths, but we also weren’t meant to eat meat every day. Everything in moderation.

I need to not be bitter about sacrificing my running for my family, otherwise I’m going to hold it against them,and grudges never hold well,they just blow up.

So that’s that.

so i’m letting go of sodas today. i can see how it’s tearing up my skin. so water and fresh juice it is or else..bad skin..
