a lot of alcohol is not a good way to be healthy. My skin is starting to show it. My health fanaticism comes in cycles. When I’m bored and have lots of time on my hands, I get back into this obsession with having good skin and a toned body. Too much time on my hands. In any case, it’s a good thing I guess. Since it’s summer, it’s easier for me to whip up healthy meals like capreses, salads, and the like. Let’s see how long this will last though. Sometimes living healthy feels like torture though. You know it’s bad for you but it just tastes so good…

”..i’m feeling great this year.. i’m eating more fiber—oats, whole grain cereals, whole grain breads, fruits and veggies.. i’m drinking lots of water, at least a cup of tea everyday and less of sodas and fruit drinks.. i eat many times in a day but in small portions.. and the best part is that i never gave up on chocolates, i just eat them in smaller sizes.. i also have time now to walk a few minutes everyday as well as some weight lifting.. i also listen to mellow and slow classical music to destress.. everything is just going as planned..”

We have exercised every day this week.
Walking, biking and golf. I also went to Water aerobics twice this week. It all has me sleeping over 10 hours though. Hope my stamina improves.

I have taken charge of my weight by losing 50+ pounds during 2008.
Now I am helping my spouse to do the same.
We each exercise daily, sometimes together. We walk, bicycle and golf.
It is sometimes hard to keep it up, and that is the goal.

Living healthy for me means keeping up a healthy lifestyle, not just eating healthy food. I’ve started attending Yoga classes and I think that’s a good start. Yoga is a great way to detoxify my body and my spirit. (I will post a blog on this soon.) Well aside from yoga, I’ve been maintaining a healthy balanced diet with the occasional giving in on binges. (hehehe)
One thing more is I try to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. I used to hate drinking water, well at least more than necessary. Well now I’m keeping my resolve. Living healthy gives me more benefits in the long run and all I can see is more positive effects than negative. I encourage everyone to live a healthy lifestyle. It will make us appreciate living even more. I’m sure of it.
