Visit South Africa

Mijn vriend was vroeger lid van het alom bekende knapenkoor Cantate Domino, en een van zijn concertreizen was naar Zuid Afrika. Als hij vertelt over zijn ervaringen daar, krijg ik kriebels in mijn buik en zeg ik telkens bij mezelf dat ik daar ook naartoe wil gaan om alles zelf te ontdekken.

I know this sounds like a weird goal, but the place looks beautiful and unique and not a place where there’ll be tons of obnoxious American tourists! (I’m not a tourist, fyi. I’m an EXPLORER c;)

Okey, it’s actually starting to come together. A friend of mine and I are planning to study in South Africa at the beginning of 2010. This could be great. It just need to come true.

I am currently working on a certification to teach Social Studies. After that, a Master’s in History, and then a Doctorate. My hope is that eventually mt studies will give me a chance to travel to South Africa. Call me crazy…

I was 9 when my parents’ decided to have a trip there and I’m just glad they took me with them. I miss Johannesburg.

I am going to South Africa in late November and early December. Going to spend most of my time in SA on the Garden Route. Would love any suggestions.

I just come back from a 3 1/2 month stay in South Africa. My heart is still in mourning over being away. I had a fantastic time and a really difficult time that will takes months of sharing to get full picture of my experience. and even then… I have to say that this trip was hard, rewarding, exciting and moving. I would totally recommend anyone to go. This is one of my life goals, to study abroad, and I am so thankful that I did it.

I really want to visit the DeWildt cheetah center in south africa.

The country is beautiful, and for the average tourist it will be a great place to visit. For those who wish to place their feet in the ground and stay for awhile, however, feelings will vary. Although the splendor and beauty of the country seems endless, so does the underlying culture of fear and poverty seem without end.

It is worth the visit, for the beauty and for a more complete view of the world and humanity.
