mandyfaye is adding things to her 43things lsit
11/4/2009 CW: 235
GW:175lbs.
How I did it: We did Atkins diet and added some exercise. It was that straightforward. This required dropping of carbs down to a bare minimum. We already at meat at every meal ,so that wasn't an extra challenge. What we added was salads. Mostly the benefit long term from this was dropping the eating of bread almost entirely from our diets. To this day I still eat less bread than every. Read how I did it…
I’ve already lost 40 pounds, and now I’m down to 163, finally! I KNOW I can do this!—I just have to get back into the swing of it.
x43xxx is trying not to waste anymore time
So over the last two years I’ve been seriously trying to lose weight after lots of half hearted attempts. At the end of last year I put about half of the weight I had lost that year back on. Then I went through a bad time and decided for health reasons I really needed to get rid of the excess weight I was carrying. Since May’09 I’ve lost about 21 pounds and in total from about the beginning of 2008 I’ve lost over 30. It is about halfway of where I’d like to be. I just think I’ve come this far why not aim to be slim. I want to weigh 132 pounds.

The number on the scale is still moving slowing in the right direction. As long as that trend continues, I will just keep on doing what I have been doing.
I have officially hit the 15 pound mark. i feel good. i feel tired with the lack of sugar and carbs but it really is becoming a habit now. i am just going to push on till i’m around my goal weight. starting week 3 today!!!
So…after a long life of battling the chubs i have officially started to shed the pounds. I am doing it low-carb. I know I know…”not healthy”, “extreme”. it works for me. i have lost 12 of my 60 in 3 weeks. i am also lifting weights 3 times a week and trying to walk/run two times. i sing in a band and i am very much tired of being chubby lead singer. i know it sounds shallow but my family history of health problems looks like the leading cause of death top 10 list they put out every year. i will check back in often to tell you all how i’m doing. thanks

I want to get married to the one guy who ever understood me, I want to enjoy looking great while I am young, I want to be happy with pictures taken of me…no matter from which angle. It’s time to get fit…I’m ready to take control of my life, starting today.
28 pound loss since April 1, 2009. That is when i started back over cuz i gained all my weight back over winter.. :oC… but now i am 28 lbs lighter, and have a better support system. i will do it this time :oD

Still headed in the right direction. I’m eating better than I have in a long time.

“is anyone doing a specific diet that has been successful so far? I think even just something to kickstart my weightloss would help...especially my morale. any advice?”
