Wilton II was great. It was flower-oriented and we learned a lot. Here’s a photo of the finale cake…

I am loving cake classes! I am only two classes into Wilton course I, but so far so good. I’ve learned to make the icings, learned to use the different tips, I can ice the cakes, line them any way I want, write on them, and free-hand draw on them. I need practice with all of that, of course. But I have learned it. Next class, the rose :)
Step one: sign up for class. Check. I’ll be taking introductory Wilton classes during the month of June and I can’t wait. I bought my student kit and I am beyond excited.
I am so jealous when I watch the Food Network Cake Decorating Challeneges because I know I could kick ass, I just don’t know how to make roses, not that I would ever use them, or have any idea where to start with the fondant. Plus I don’t have the proper tools.
