make an apron for tie one on

This is a really great site, http://angrychicken.typepad.com/tieoneon/ I find it so inspirering and would really like to make one, and aprons are just the cutest thing.

this month it’s smocks all the way – I think I could do this one, I have a pattern for a shirt-button dress that with some modification could be a very smart smock. Not sure that I will have time with the buying of houses and going to San Fran, but will see how I go.

Actually I found some yellow gingham (big checks, about 1”) but I couldn’t find anything to go with it. Yet.

How can this be: no yellow and white fabric? I need to go shopping! Although I did a list last night of all my “urgent” craft projects because I’m feeling somewhat overwhelmed, and it seems I have a lot to get done in the next few weeks (before I go to San Francisco) so I may not get to this month’s tie one on… But there’s always next month – or even the next…
